We are seeking a Data Analyst / BI Developer to support Business Intelligence, data analysis, reporting, data visualization, and data integration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SQL, IBM DB2, Cognos, data modeling, Data Mart/Data Warehouse, and BI reporting .
This is a mid-level opportunity , and candidates with significantly more than 5 years of experience will not be considered.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain BI reports, dashboards, and data visualization solutions.
Analyze data to identify patterns, anomalies, trends, and data-quality issues.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications for reports and dashboards.
Write complex SQL queries and SQL PL procedures in an IBM DB2 environment.
Design and develop Data Mart/Data Warehouse models.
Create dashboards supporting drill-down, drill-up, slicing, and dicing of data.
Author and maintain reports using IBM Cognos Analytics.
Support ETL, data integration, data exchange, and automation initiatives.
Collaborate with functional teams to understand requirements and ensure data quality.
Develop reusable templates and models to improve data integrity and workflow efficiency.
Produce ad hoc reports based on business requirements.
Support continuous improvement and automation of BI solutions and processes.
Work with upstream and downstream enterprise applications throughout the dashboard development lifecycle.
Maintain technical and user documentation.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
2+ years of related experience.
Maximum 5 years of total experience accepted.
Strong experience with SQL, PL/SQL, SQL PL, and IBM DB2 .
Experience with a Business Intelligence/BI reporting tool; IBM Cognos preferred .
Experience with Data Mart/Data Warehouse design and data modeling .
Strong understanding of OLAP and Business Intelligence applications .
Experience with reporting and database environments.
Knowledge of relational, star, and snowflake schemas .
Experience with DB2 or other RDBMS platforms.
Experience working with UNIX/Linux environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
IBM Cognos Analytics 12.1.0 or higher.
Experience authoring and maintaining Cognos reports against relational, dimensional, and transactional databases.
Experience with Core Java .
Data architecture and data analysis experience.
Experience with ETL and data integration .
Knowledge of RTC/ELM or similar tools .
Healthcare industry experience.
Familiarity with PMI standards and practices .
Experience working in a complex matrix organization.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
