Company Description AcreWatch (formerly Midwest Drones) is a veteran-owned aerial intelligence company that uses autonomous drones, dock-based stations, and skilled pilots to monitor and service critical agricultural and energy land across the United States. The company supports agriculture, land management, and renewable energy operations through services such as crop and field analysis, drone spraying, drainage and water mapping, livestock monitoring, mapping and surveying, search and recovery, and wind and infrastructure inspection. Dock-based autonomy enables persistent, scheduled coverage and time-series insights rather than one-time flyovers. As a partner of Vets to Drones, AcreWatch works with a nationwide network of 400+ veteran FAA Part 107 operators, deploying secure, NDAA-compliant hardware when needed. The team is focused on turning “eyes in the sky” into actionable decisions on the ground for clients. Role Description This part-time Drone Pilot role is a hybrid position based in South Charleston, OH, with a mix of field operations and work-in-the-office tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and conducting UAV flights for projects such as crop scouting, field mapping, infrastructure inspection, and other aerial data collection assignments. The Drone Pilot will operate drones in compliance with FAA regulations, follow AcreWatch safety protocols, and ensure accurate data capture using onboard sensors and cameras. Additional duties include basic drone maintenance, flight logging, and coordination with project managers and clients to understand mission objectives and timelines. The role may also involve supporting training, assisting in operational documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement of flight procedures. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in Drone Piloting and operating Drones for commercial or professional missions. Experience with UAV systems and general Piloting skills, including pre-flight planning and in-flight decision-making. Ability to support and participate in Training activities related to drone operations and safety. Valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate. OSHA 10 or 30 General Ohio Commercial Applicators License(preferred) Strong understanding of FAA regulations, airspace restrictions, and safe flight operations, especially in agricultural and rural environments. Comfort with using mapping software, mission planning tools, and basic data management workflows. Reliable transportation to reach field locations in and around South Charleston, OH, and flexibility to work variable hours based on mission needs. Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and independently in outdoor conditions. Previous experience in agriculture, land management, public safety, or infrastructure inspection is beneficial but not required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
